Let me share the tale of how I accidentally became a wizard.

I discovered magic in my early twenties while backpacking around Europe. In the year prior to this trip, a magician had taught me one simple card trick. I didn’t think much of it—until I found myself traveling through hostels where a deck of cards became the perfect way to make friends. No matter the country or language, a little moment of wonder can connect a group of people instantly.

I performed that same simple trick almost daily; each hostel meant a new group of people to befriend. Within the first two weeks of my trip, I met another traveler who, after seeing my trick, said they had a similarly simple one. We decided to trade tricks and suddenly I had two. A few weeks later, I met someone else who taught me another. And so it went. What started with a single illusion snowballed into a growing repertoire, and the more I practiced, the more natural the cards felt in my hands. I even began unintentionally reinventing classic sleights, learning through curiosity and necessity rather than instruction.

What began as a way to turn strangers into friends became a lifelong passion. Today, I still chase that same joy—creating moments that make people smile, wonder, and feel a little more connected. I’m always excited to share that magic with others, wether it be through a performance or through a lesson. I welcome the opportunity to share that same joy with you!
